US Senate gives its consent for the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Assignment of Receivables in International Trade

Friday 4 January 2019

A great news for the Industry: on January 2, 2019, the US Senate gave its consent for the ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Assignment of Receivables in International Trade.

This is the result of some great work by many people, including the US delegation (Hal Burman, Neil Cohen, Harry Sigman, Ed Smith and Peter Winship), the Commercial Finance Association (Richard Kohn), including its former C.E.O. Robert Trojan, the ABA (Steve Weise), the members of the FCI Legal Committee, Spyros Bazinas and many others. Many thanks to all of them.

A special thanks also to Harry Sigman (US), Jean Stoufflet (France) and Freddy Salinger (FCI), who did not live to see it.
