Best Import and Factor of the year 2023

Yesterday, 1 November 2023, the winners of the 2023 Factor of the Year Awards were announced during the 2023 FCI Annual Meeting held in Marrakech.

 

1. FCI Business Awards

On behalf of all members of FCI, we wish to congratulate the winners:

·   Export and Import Factor of the Year: BNP Paribas Factor -  France

·   Export Factor of the Year: Eurobank Factors Single Member S.A. - Greece

·   Import Factor of the Year: BNP Paribas Factor -  France

 

For each category, extending congratulations for their performance, we have:

  • Export and Import Factor of the Year: 

2nd place: UniCredit Factoring S.p.A., Italy

3rd place: Intesa SANPAOLO S.p.A., Italy

 

  • Export Factor of the Year:

2nd place: Intesa SANPAOLO S.p.A., Italy

3rd place: YapiKredi Faktoring A.S., Turkey

 

  • Import Factor of the Year:

2nd place: Wells Fargo Bank, United States of America

3rd place: Eurofactor, Germany

 

This year it has been decided that there should also be a Regional “GRAND” Prize for the best Import & Export Factor of the year for each region, and so here we go:

  • The company which had the best service quality performance improvement since last year as an Export Factor: Banco BPI SA (Portugal)

 

  • The company which had the best service quality performance improvement since last year as an Import Factor: Mizrahi Tefahot Bank Ltd. (Israel)

 

  •  The company which had the overall performance as Export Factor and as Import Factor over the past five years.: BNP PARIBAS Factor SA, (France) (Average Score 92.10%)

 

2. Best Deal of the Year Award

Following on from the success from last year, FCI once again presented the Best Deal of the Year Award. FCI Members were asked to submit their best deals completed via the FCI Edifactoring platform, six submissions were then selected by the FCI Marketing Committee and were presented during the Roundtable Discussions at the 55th Annual Meeting by the company members. As the award was for the best deal of the year, both Export and Import factors, that were involved in the transaction, were awarded. Below are the winners and runners-up for this category.

1st Place: Santander Factoring, Poland - BNP Paribas Factor, France

2nd Place: Taishin International Bank, Taiwan - Mizuho Factors, Japan

3rd Place: India Factoring and Finance Solutions - BNP Paribas Factor, France

 

3. FCI Ambassador of the Year – New Award

This year, FCI is presenting a new award for the FCI Ambassador of the Year. The FCI Marketing and Communications department, along with the Regional Directors and Managers, submitted ratings of the Ambassadors who have contributed the most to FCI. Over the year, the Ambassadors have helped us reach our goals and objectives through contributions and promotions. The Ambassadors also help FCI Regional Directors and Managers have a better understanding of regional industry development taking place on the ground. Their valuable support helps FCI better serve its members.

4. FCI Marketing Award – New Award

This year, FCI announced a new award called the ‘FCI Marketing Award’. In honour of Roberto Weckop, a man who had helped members around the world to better understand the complexities of receivables finance in general and international cross-border factoring in particular. This is awarded to the Member who has gone above and beyond to help promote Factoring, Receivables and Supply Chain Finance globally.

1st Place: Banca IFIS, Italy

2nd Place: India Factoring and Finance Solutions, India  - Chat show

3rd Place: India Factoring and Finance Solutions, India - Marketing Campaign & newsletter

 

5. Lifetime Achievement Award

This year, FCI presented the Lifetime Achievement Award, last presented at the FCI 50th Annual Meeting in Amsterdam. The FCI Lifetime Achievement award is an award that is given to an individual in the industry who has contributed the most to defending our industry, who has gone above and beyond to promote and contribute to the industry and who has shown a level of leadership throughout their career. 

The winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award are Ms. Joy Zhu and Mr. Roberto Weckop.
