FCI bids Farewell to Integral Employee
FCI Spotlight - Ms Teresa van de Putte
28 September 2023

Today, we bid farewell to Ms. Teresa van de Putte as she embarks on a new chapter in her life. After 35 years of remarkable service to FCI, Teresa will be missed dearly by her colleagues and the entire FCI membership as she heads off into retirement.

Teresa's unwavering commitment to excellence and invaluable contributions to the factoring industry has left an indelible mark on FCI. Her dedication to helping newcomers navigate the FCI world and her sense of humour have made her an integral part of the FCI family.

Looking back on Teresa's career, we are reminded of the importance of camaraderie and teamwork. Teresa started working at FCI in September 1988, was hired by Sandra Gerlach & Jeroen Kohnstamm, and has seen the association grow from 90 members to over 400 members today. In a recent interview, she explained how "We started with the IFAC Manual (Standard Interfactor Procedures), and later the CHIEF and FACT system, Education Courses were sent out in binders by mail, and our communication was done with the old Teletext system. Today, everything is digitalized, our data is stored in the cloud and communication with members is done predominantly virtually.”

Messages have been pouring in from colleagues today as many have shared their best memories while sending their best wishes to her as she begins a new chapter in her life.

Peter Mulroy shared: "On behalf of all of us here in FCI, both past and present, thank you for your commitment to our members and for your support to all of us these past 35 years, for your hard work and dedication to our industry. We will miss your daily presence, but will especially miss your cheery disposition, your sense of humour, and your charm. You have helped make this association what it is today!"

We thank Teresa for her hard work and continuous commitment to excellence. We wish her all the best as she begins a new journey in life, and we are grateful for the countless memories and contributions she has left behind. Teresa may be leaving FCI, but her legacy will continue.

For those who plan to attend the upcoming FCI 55th Annual Meeting in Marrakech from 29 October – 2 November, Teresa will be with us to say her farewell in person.  We hope you will join us!
