UAE Trade Connect (UTC) is the first of its kind blockchain trade finance platform built by the banks, for the banks in the UAE. The platform was incubated in 2021 with thought leaders from 7 banks that cocreated a solution to combat fraud and currently, the platform has grown to 13 banks. Multiple interbank duplicates have been identified safeguarding the member banks from potential frauds and saving multi-million dollars in the process.
