As a proud supporting partner of Global Trade Review (GTR), FCI is excited to share that GTR will return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on May 9 to host a special one-day event focused on the many exciting developments within the Saudi trade and export markets.

Having welcomed over 300 to the inaugural event in 2022, the conference will build on this and GTR’s wider footprint across the GCC, enjoying the highest level of support from the trade and banking community.

Covering critical market insight and providing excellent networking opportunities with senior C-suite experts, this in-person gathering delivers a highly anticipated opportunity to connect with the key players and access a full spectrum of companies involved in this exciting region. Event discussion themes include; creating the regulatory framework for trade; beyond oil – expanding the remit for the Saudi private sector; supply chain finance and reinforcing the value chain; adopting a measured approach to sustainability; turbocharging the Saudi economy through fintech; and protecting the food supply chain.

FCI will be co-hosting the afternoon Seminar on 9 May, where we will be combining FCI’s knowledge and GTR’s platform to present the Fundamentals of factoring and open account receivables finance in KSA – A roadmap to development. This seminar will be presented by Mr Spyros Tsolis, FCI Deputy Education Director, and Ms Betül Kurtulus, FCI Regional Director for Central, Eastern & South-Eastern Europe & the Middle East.

Mr Spyros Tsolis will present the session on understanding factoring and reverse factoring. He will tackle the big questions including What is factoring and why are open accounts receivables finance solutions becoming more important? He will also shed light on Factoring and invoice finance variations, factoring versus loans, reverse factoring and FCIreverse solutions. Mr Tsolis will explain how SMEs can use Factoring as an alternative financing solution along with its advantages and comparisons to other forms of short-term financing for trade while highlighting the benefits of factoring to buyers and sellers (MSMEs, large corporates, and financial institutions).

Ms Betül Kurtulus will share global factoring industry trends as well as insights on the regulatory and digital infrastructure in her session on the roadmap to the development of a factoring market in an emerging country.

Don’t miss this unrivalled opportunity to catch up with old friends and build crucial new market connections at what is set to be an excellent conference.
