Avila Beach, CA – November 29, 2021

It is with great sadness that we share the news from The International Factoring Association (IFA) announcing that Founder and Executive Director Bert Goldberg has died after his battle with cancer. Mr. Goldberg was diagnosed in April, 2021, with stage four pancreatic cancer. He passed away at his home on November 27, 2021. He leaves behind his wife, Cheryl, and twenty-three-year-old daughter, Maleah Goldberg.

“We appreciate the support that the IFA community has provided over these past few months,” said Heather Villa, Managing Director of the International Factoring Association. “The IFA is a community that comes together during tough times and we are so grateful to have the group of friends and colleagues that makes up the organization. Bert founded the IFA in 1999 and since then his vision has turned the Factoring industry into an expansive and important resource for small businesses all over the world. We are proud to continue the legacy that Bert built.”

FCI sends our sincere and deepest condolences to the Goldberg family and the IFA during this time. He was a true asset to the industry and will be missed.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Beta Foster Care at www.betafostercare.org.
