We are proud to be the Official Industry Partner for TF COP 2026, taking place on 8 September, at Le Méridien Lav, Split, Croatia.

Following a year of significant progress and growing industry collaboration, we are pleased to announce the programme for TF COP 2026, taking place on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, at Le Méridien Lav, Split, Croatia.

Since TF COP was launched in 2024, our premise has been clear: the SME trade finance gap will not be closed by dialogue alone. It will be closed by bringing the right public- and private-sector actors together to build, test and scale practical solutions.

The TF COP Task Force Open Meeting hosted by the EBRD on 12 June demonstrated how far that agenda has progressed. Across local-currency finance, FX risk, blended finance, insurance, digitalisation, legal reform and market infrastructure, the coalition is now moving from ideas towards implementation.

TF COP 2026 will bring together the institutions and individuals best placed to shape, sponsor and deliver solutions that make SME trade assets more visible, financeable, hedgeable, insurable and investable.

The programme will include:

  • A first-hand report from the landmark Wilton Park Dialogue on local-currency financing — an unprecedented gathering of public- and private-sector leaders examining how the international financial architecture can unlock local-currency finance in emerging markets, with conclusions expected to help shape the wider global policy agenda
  • The annual Industry Associations Update with BAFT, Berne Union, FCI, ICISA and ITFA
  • The MDB Annual Update with AfDB, EBRD, IFC and BII
  • Practical solutions and sandboxes already moving towards implementation
  • Interactive breakout sessions designed to generate the next wave of solutions

We are also delighted to welcome EBRD as Official MDB Partner and FCI as Official Industry Body Partner of TF COP 2026.

Who should attend
TF COP 2026 is designed for senior professionals and decision-makers working to expand access to finance for SMEs and close the global trade finance gap. The summit will be particularly relevant to representatives from:

  • Banks, factoring companies and other trade finance providers
  • Multilateral development banks and development finance institutions
  • Regulators, policymakers and public-sector agencies
  • Export credit agencies, insurers and guarantee providers
  • Fintechs, digital platforms and technology providers
  • Industry associations and international organisations
  • Investors and institutions involved in capital mobilisation and blended finance
  • Specialists in local-currency lending, factoring, supply chain finance, sustainability and SME development

The event will bring together organisations responsible for shaping policy, funding solutions and implementing practical initiatives across developed and emerging markets.
