As Vietnam continues to strengthen its position as a global manufacturing hub, the global trade finance landscape is seeing a significant shift toward open account trade. While this evolution offers immense opportunities for export growth, it also requires a robust operational framework to mitigate risks such as fraud and disputes.

The Viet Nam Banks’ Association (VNBA), in cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and FCI will host a 1.5 days workshop for the South East Asia region.

Hosted in Hanoi, this exclusive workshop brings together global experts and FCI practitioners to unpack how factoring operations actually work — from risk allocation to day-to-day execution. Expect candid case studies, executive-level dialogue and hands-on learning designed for institutions serious about scaling safe, sustainable cross-border trade finance.

This seminar aims to:

  1. Provide a comprehensive end-to-end understanding of international two-factor transactions

  2. Enhance participants’ understanding of operational workflows and controls

  3. Strengthen credit and operational risk management capabilities

  4. Share real case studies and lessons learned from experienced FCI members

  5. Support sustainable international factoring capacity building in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region

This training is tailored for institutions engaged in international factoring, commercial banks and financial institutions, and fintech providers supporting factoring operations, with the focus on understanding of the two-factor model — from onboarding and credit assessment to claim handling and dispute management.

Participants: commercial banks, FCI institutions, financial companies and fintech.

The workshopis being offered at no cost; register on the register tab.
