This year the Annual Summit of Commercial Factoring Expertise Committee of CATIS (CFEC) was held in Tianjin, Yujiapu in Intercontinental Hotel from 16 to 18 April. About 400 participants from commercial factors in China attended the event.FCI was represented by Ms Sun Jianbo, Vice Chairwoman of FCI who spoke on the cooperation between bank and commercial factors, as well as FCI Asia Chapter Director Lee Kheng Leong who gave an update of the latest market survey and the FCI reverse project. Also many speakers from the Chinese factoring companies took part in the event. That augurs well for the factoring industry in China as it is able to develop its pool of local factoring expertise.Over the last years commercial factors were mushrooming in China. To date there are more than 8,000 commercial factors in China. Like in many other countries, commercial factors in China provide factoring services mainly to MSME. FCI has entered into a MOU on Education with CFEC . FCI’s participation in this summit is part of its objective to help to improve the expertise in factoring through FCI education.
