FCI and BCR to host Supply Chain Finance Summit

The 10th annual Supply Chain Finance Summit, hosted by BCR Publishing in partnership with FCI, will bring together top influencers from across the banking and fintech stack - CEOs, senior SCF executives, chief sustainability officers, fintech leaders, policymakers, startups, scale-ups and tech entrepreneurs to explore what needs to happen next to unlock the opportunities provided by this exciting transformation. This year will see FCI's Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General chair the summit. 

Peter Mulroy will chair day one, beginning with his opening remarks and moving to a panel discussion on the state of global SCF and deep-tier & long-tail challenges and opportunities. Given the geopolitical climate, you would expect supply chain trade to be adversely affected by surprisingly, it has now increased to approximately 50% of all global trade. This panel will give the macro picture of the developments in global trade; Some indicators of supply chain trade and fast-growing markets; Drivers of the expansion of supply chain finance, and gaps. The panel features fellow FCI members and partners, including Santander CIB, Asian Development Bank, EBRD and IFC. Peter will close the day off by reflecting on the topics from the day and sharing key insights.

Day two will be chaired by Neal Harm, again opening with his remarks followed by a panel discussion on Forging stronger links – collaborative approaches in SCF for a resilient future. The panel will delve into the collaborative and transformative aspects of SCF. It will analyse the impact of financial technology (fintech) in reshaping SCF practices, emphasising how collaborative approaches are redefining the industry. Panellists include; Maria Camila Munoz Sanchez, Exponencial Confirming CEO & Founder; Marina Adnres Machicote, BBVA CIB Global Head of GTB Advisory; Enrico Viganò, FinDynamic CEO; and Freddie Rugginz, J.P. Morgan Executive Director of Global Trade Structured Solutions.

Çağatay Baydar, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors at TEB Faktoring and FCI Chairman, will present a forward-looking keynote to conclude the summit on Charting the path forward. Reflecting on a decade of SCF highlighting key takeaways, and discussing the future prospects of SCF and global trade.
