FCI Academy has opened enrolment for Term 4 of the Foundation Course on Factoring – Career Path Level 1, beginning on 1 October 2026.
In factoring and receivables finance, strong technical knowledge is not limited to specialists. As teams work across sales, operations, risk, legal and international business, having a shared understanding of the fundamentals can make a significant difference to how effectively people work together.
The Foundation Course on Factoring – Career Path Level 1 provides that starting point.
As FCI Academy’s entry-level Career Path programme, the course is designed for professionals who are new to factoring and receivables finance, as well as those looking to refresh and structure their existing knowledge.
Over three months, participants build a solid grounding in the principles of factoring, helping them understand the product, processes and terminology that underpin day-to-day business.
For FCI member companies, this goes beyond individual professional development. Establishing a common level of knowledge across new and non-specialist employees can support quicker onboarding, fewer process errors, stronger judgement and smoother collaboration, including when working with partners across the international FCI network.

FCI members are encouraged to consider Level 1 as part of the development pathway for employees entering factoring or moving into roles where a stronger understanding of the industry would be beneficial.
Companies that have joined FCI within the last 24 months also receive two free enrolments into the Foundation Course, providing an opportunity to begin building that knowledge within their teams from the outset.
