FCI Chairman announces new Technical Committee Chairs

FCI’s Chairman, Mr. Çagatay Baydar, is proud to announce the four newly appointed Chairs and confirm two Chairs of the Technical Committees  following a meeting with the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee set up technical committees to deal with topics deemed necessary by the Executive Committee. The permanent committees are Business & IT Solutions Committee, Education Committee, Legal Committee, Marketing and Communication Committee and Supply Chain Finance Committee.

Mr. Çagatay Baydar shared the following after appointing the new chairs and confirming the current chairs: “I am delighted to have new Chairs for the Legal, Education, SCF and Audit Committee of FCI. All four are very motivated and looking forward to develop more project with the committees. Technical Committees are very important for FCI as they help advising on projects that are making the association evolve. I congratulate Mary, Monica, Philippe and Richard for their nomination and look forward working with them and the current chairs, Sevil and Sarah, in the future.”

Education Committee (EdCom)

The principal task of the Education Committee is to develop and implement FCI’s educational policy. 

The newly appointed Chair is Mr. Philippe GRESTA from BNP Paribas Factor in France.

Upon appointment, Mr. Philippe GRESTA said: “I am very honoured to serve FCI as Chairman of the Education Committee. Education is one of the main pillars of FCI, along with the GRIF and Edifactoring, and having well-trained professionals across the chain is a key success factor. Our strategy will thus aim to keep our training and courses relevant in our environment, both in form and content, improve awareness of their value and push them decisively to our existing and future members.”

Legal Committee (LegCom)

The FCI Legal Committee offers continuous assistance to the FCI members in answering questions of a legal nature or relating in particular to the FCI GRIF.

The newly appointed Chair is Mr. Richard Stehl, an Independent Consultant in the United States of America.

Supply Chain Finance Committee (SCF Com)

The SCF Committee has been created to analyse how FCI can develop a role and how it can provide added value to the Institutions developing other products.

The newly appointed Chair is Ms. Monica FERNANDEZ BARBERO from Caixabank in Spain.

Compliance Committee

The Executive Committee established the Compliance Committee to oversee the compliance activities of FCI, to which it reports. 

The newly appointed Chair is Ms. Mary FARLEY from The CIT Group/Commercial Services in the United States of America.

Upon appointment, Ms. Mary FARLEY said: “I am honoured to be asked to chair the Compliance Committee. I am looking forward to continuing our work to solidify FCI’s adherence to compliance regulations as well as guiding members in shaping their own policies and procedures regarding onboarding and KYC.”

Business & IT Solutions Committee (ComCom)

Over the years, ComCom has been responsible for the various information exchange formats, from the original paper standardised reporting through the FACT system to edifactoring.com, the FCI communication platform, since 2002.

The Chair of this committee will remain Ms. Sevil DINCER from TEB Faktoring in Turkey.

Marketing & Communication Committee (MarCom)

Our Team of Marketing experts, usually representing members from all regions of the World, develops Marketing, PR and Promotion activities to fulfil our different aims.

The Chair of this committee will remain Ms. Chung Huei (Sarah) PON from UniCredit Factoring in Italy.

The FCI team looks forward to working with each committee chair and seeing their visions come to life to keep FCI as the leading Global Representative Body for Factoring and Financing of Open Account Domestic and International Trade Receivables.
