As a global leader in factoring, FCI understands the importance of communication and cooperation between its members. That’s why FCI offers a cutting-edge SAAS application called Edifactoring, which over 200 members have used for communication and contract registration. On average, the application processes half a million messages annually, with over 15 billion euros in turnover. With nearly 400 member companies in more than 90 countries, FCI provides a unique network for cooperation in cross-border factoring. Member transactions account for almost 60% of international correspondent factoring volume globally.
FCI owns the Edifactoring application and has been maintained and hosted by Centric since 2008. Centric has also implemented and maintains FCI’s custom Membership Application. At the beginning of 2020, Centric received approval to renew the Edifactoring application, which involved a new user interface, replacement of unsupported services, a new hosting environment, and many enhancements to improve the application. Specifically, the application’s security and UI were improved to meet modern security standards. A joint team of FCI and Centric worked on the project for two years, and Edifactoring version 2.0 was formally launched in April 2022. The application is hosted and maintained in Centric’s secure and scalable infrastructure.
With Edifactoring 2.0, FCI is well-positioned to anticipate new developments and support its members’ businesses. One year after go-live, the implementation of Edifactoring 2.0 has been a resounding success. Its users have fully embraced it. The co-creation and close cooperation with FCI from day one were crucial to this success.
In December of last year, FCI prolonged its partnership with Centric by renewing the Edifactoring contract for an additional three years until the end of 2025. This decision enables Centric to remain a Guiding Partner for FCI, collaborating on the forthcoming 3-5 year strategy and establishing an (IT) roadmap for Edifactoring that aligns with this plan.
